About Me
Iβm a research scientist developing in-situ space resource utilization (ISRU) technologies while also helping scientist improve their communication skills.
My scientific writing & research has appeared in scientific journals including ACS Chemistry of Materials, ACS Inorganic Chemistry, and Space Science Reviews.
I create opportunities for scientists to develop their science communication skills through my coaching platform, DataToDialogue, by focusing on three keystones: storytelling, data visualization, and personal presence.Β
I engage in public outreach through a variety of community organizations.Β
I developed and delivered lectures and workshops on space resources (ISRU) to a diverse global audience, reaching 400+ secondary & university students (Space Goes to School, SLI TerraLuna Challenge).
I coordinated community public outreach events under a graduate fellowship sponsored by NASA and the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium.
I collaborated with 2 teams from the PSU Center for Nanoscale ScienceΒ and the Franklin Institute to develop science education modules for Mission: Materials Science, providing scientific experiments for thousands of children
In my free time, I help families with genealogical research in the US and Luxembourg. This work led me to published a biography about a long-forgotten baseball legend.Β
I hold a PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, a B.S. in Chemistry from Denison University, andΒ have completed extensive coursework in the Space Technologies and Business program at the University of Luxembourg.
